Ernst Kuiper

Ernst Kuiper is an experienced Engineering Manager and Craft Lead Data Science at bol.com since July 2017, responsible for mentoring junior data scientists, serving as a Data Science architect, and developing the overall Data Science strategy for the organization. Previous roles include Staff Data Scientist at App Annie and Data Scientist at Prime Data B.V., where Ernst specialized in Matlab software development and model operationalization, collaborating closely with TNO. Additionally, Ernst has a background as a Physics Development Engineer at TMC and as a Scientist at TNO focusing on vehicle emissions analysis. Ernst obtained a PhD from Leiden Observatory, researching galaxy formation and evolution, and holds an MSc and BSc in Astrophysics and Physics & Astronomy, respectively, both from Utrecht University.
