Thomas Newcomb

Thomas Newcomb has 14 years of experience in the motorsport industry. From 2022 to present, they have been a Senior Composite Design Engineer at BOLD. From 2019 to 2022, they were a Composite Design Engineer at Renault Sport Racing, leading the Nose impact structure, designing composite components, assemblies, tooling and scheming top level Aero components. Thomas also had advanced experience with 3DX/Catia, PLM and project management to tight deadlines. From 2008 to 2019, they worked at Williams Martini Racing, where they held the roles of Team Leader - Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Prototype CAM Programmer and Machinist, and Advanced Mechanical Apprentice. During their apprenticeship, they worked and learned all aspects of the production and manufacture of a Formula One car, covering the areas of Fabrication, Composite, Model shop, Machining, Inspection, Pattern Making, and specialising in Prototype Programming and Machining.

Thomas Newcomb's education history includes a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Design BEng Hons from Buckinghamshire New University (2014-2016), an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Newbury College (2013-2014), a Higher National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering from Newbury College (2010-2012), and a High School diploma from King Alfred's Secondary School (2002-2008). Thomas also completed an Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship from 2008-2012.
