Boldera is a Toronto-based architecture and heritage consulting practice specializing in heritage conservation, adaptive reuse, and context-driven architecture. We work across Canada with public institutions, developers, cultural organizations, and private clients to revitalize existing buildings through thoughtful, sustainable, and technically rigorous design.

Our work ranges from heritage impact assessments, conservation plans, and restoration strategies to complex adaptive reuse projects, civic buildings, cultural sites, and character-rich homes. We are particularly passionate about giving historic places renewed relevance — transforming underused and aging structures into vibrant spaces that serve contemporary needs while respecting their cultural significance.

We believe preservation and innovation are not opposing forces. By reimagining existing buildings rather than replacing them, we help reduce environmental impact, strengthen communities, and create architecture that endures.

Boldera is guided by three core principles: Bold Integrity, Reimagine, Don’t Replace, and Design That Endures.

The practice is led by Eric Rodrigues, an architect and heritage consultant with expertise in heritage conservation, adaptive reuse, and sustainable design. Our collaborative approach brings together architects, heritage specialists, planners, engineers, and craftspeople to deliver thoughtful and lasting solutions for complex projects.

From historic courthouses and industrial landmarks to cultural institutions and residential transformations, Boldera is committed to shaping a more sustainable, culturally connected, and resilient built environment.
