Danielle Sturgeon began their work experience as a Broadcast Intern at WCCB, Charlotte's CW in 2007. Danielle then worked as a Communications Intern at the American Heart Association for a few months later that year. In 2008, they joined FCSLA as a Promotions & Communications Coordinator and stayed there until 2013. From 2009 to 2011, Danielle served as a Volunteer/Cause-related Marketing Chairperson at Susan G. Komen for the Cure. In 2013, they became a Social Media Freelancer as an Independent Consultant. In 2014, they joined Navy Region Southwest Fleet, Family & Child Programs as a Commercial Sponsorship Coordinator and worked there until 2018. Most recently, Danielle has been working since April 2018 as a Business Support Specialist at Boldly Subscription Staffing, where they help match founders and executives with skilled professionals.

Danielle Sturgeon obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Kent State University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Danielle then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Public Relations from the same university from 2011 to 2013.
