Harriet Pelling began their work experience in 2014 at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where they worked as a Laboratory Technician and Plate File Specialist from August 2015 to July 2016. Harriet then transitioned to the role of Microbiology Laboratory Technician - Product Support and Development from August 2014 to August 2015.

In 2017, Harriet joined the University of Brighton as a PhD student, a position they held until May 2022. Harriet then moved to the University of Bath, where they continued their PhD studies from March 2018 to May 2022.

Harriet'snext role was as a Research Assistant at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London, from April 2022 to December 2022.

Currently, Harriet is working at BOLDSCIENCE as an Associate Medical Writer, starting in February 2023.

Harriet Pelling's education history begins with their completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Genome Science from the University of Portsmouth in 2011-2014. After that, they pursued a Master of Research (MRes) in Bioscience at the University of Brighton from 2016-2017. Following this, Harriet went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular Microbiology from the University of Bath starting in 2018 and completing it in 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Harriet has also obtained several certifications. In February 2022, they received a certification in "Bioinformatics for Biologists: An Introduction to Linux, Bash Scripting, and R" from Wellcome Connecting Science Courses and Conferences. In May 2020, they obtained certifications in "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)", "Python Data Structures", and "Using Python to Access Web Data" from Coursera.
