Jessica Carpenter, PhD

Jessica Carpenter, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of neuroscience. Jessica currently works as an Associate Medical Writer at BOLDSCIENCE since 2022. Previously, they were a Graduate Student Mentor at The University of Georgia from August 2016 to May 2022. In this role, they mentored undergraduate research assistants, taught scientific skills, and wrote manuscripts. Jessica also served as a Graduate Student Mentor for the Neuroscience Undergraduate Research Experience (NSURE) program, mentoring visiting summer students from May 2019 to July 2021. Jessica also worked as a Secretary for Graduate Students and Post-docs in Science from August 2018 to May 2021. Prior to their time at The University of Georgia, they were an Associate Research and Development Biologist at the University of Mississippi from September 2014 to August 2016. Jessica started their research career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Mississippi from August 2013 to May 2014.

Jessica Carpenter, PhD completed their Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Mississippi from 2010 to 2014. Following this, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience at The University of Georgia from 2016 to 2022.
