He loves to work with engineering driven founders with a laser-sharp focus on product. Enduring themes and investment focus include Cloud Native Infrastructure, SaaS, Intelligent Automation, and cyber security. Over 24 yrs has seeded and helped scale a number of enterprise startups to exit including big data pioneer Greenplum (acq. EMC/now Pivotal), LivePerson (IPO), GoToMeeting (acq. Citrix), Divide (acq. Google), GoInstant (acq. Salesforce), Blaze (acq/ Akamai), and many others. Notable first check investments include Snyk, Kustomer, BigID, Superhuman, Security Scorecard, Front, and FortressIQ. Previously co-founded Dawntreader Ventures. Ed has a BA in Economics from Harvard.
