Taylor Johnson is currently a Senior Front-End Engineer at Bonusly. Prior to this, they held the position of Staff Software Engineer at Bonusly from May 2021 to June 2022. They were previously employed as a Software Engineer at SS&C Advent from September 2018 to May 2021 and as a Geographer at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from October 2014 to November 2015. Their responsibilities at USGS included authoring custom static and data-driven web pages and web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (including various web mapping libraries), writing and updating Python scripts utilizing the arcpy Mapping module to generate custom river atlases for field personnel, and publishing ArcGIS Server REST services to be consumed by the public and custom GCMRC web applications. From November 2015 to September 2018, they worked as a Geospatial Software Developer for the US Army Corps of Engineers. Prior to that, they were employed as a Cartographer for the US Army Corps of Engineers from August 2013 to October 2014 and as a Wildlife Biologist II (GIS Analyst) for the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources from March 2013 to August 2013.
Taylor Johnson has a Master of Science in Geography from The University of Georgia, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the same school. Taylor is certified as a Graph Developer - Associate from Apollo GraphQL and as a GIS Professional from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI).
