Chris Overgaard Pedersen has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Chris started their career as a waiter at Jensens Bøfhus A/S from 2006 to 2009. Chris then worked as a personal fitness trainer at Rødkærsbro Fitness Center from 2005 to 2010.

In 2010, Chris joined the military and served as a Second Lieutenant and Sergeant in the Army, leading platoons and groups of soldiers in different capacities until 2011.

From 2011 to 2015, they worked for TUI as an Airport Manager in Palma De Mallorca and as a tour leader and sales/service guide in various countries. Chris focused on delivering excellent sales and service to customers from Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway, as well as independently running excursions.

Chris co-founded Xaman Adventures in 2017, an adventure travel company based in Stockholm that provided active adventures worldwide. Chris served as the General Manager until 2018.

From 2014 to 2020, they worked as a journalist and photographer for A Writing Nomad, undertaking copywriting, SEO optimization, marketing, and analytics for newspapers and magazines.

In 2016, Chris worked as a Sales & Travel Consultant for TUI.

From 2018 to 2020, they worked for Xtravel AB as a Manager for the B2B & Groups segment. Chris managed a team and led product development, e-commerce, and marketing plans and strategies for groups and corporate clients.

Chris is currently employed at BookBeat since 2020, serving as the Marketing Manager for Denmark. Chris established BookBeat as a challenger in the audiobook market by creating a solid foundation and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy. Chris also assists newer markets and teams with go-to-market strategies before launching in other countries.
