Emily Drabble

Emily Drabble is currently the Head of Children's Books Promotion and Prizes at BookTrust, where they promote children's literature and initiatives. They have extensive experience in journalism, having worked as a researcher and writer for The Guardian from 1993 to 1999 and later as a senior editor for the learnnewsdesk from 2000 to 2011. Between 2011 and 2014, Emily contributed to the Guardian Teacher Network, and from 2014 to 2016, they served as the children's books site editor at The Guardian, collaborating with authors and illustrators. They hold a degree in Archaeology and Classical Civilisation from Nottingham University, earned between 1990 and 1993.
