Our working knowledge of the NBR is the result of three years focused R&D to go above and beyond legislative compliance across every tier of our business, from material to manufacture to installation.

Our engineering team ensures full reporting compliance certification with both a rational assessment and a structural engineering certificate for all balustrades at no extra cost. This guaranteed certification on our installations ensures that you are legally protected and covered by liability insurance. And we’ll do your Form 3 submission for free as well.

We’ve even extended our ranges to include custom handrail solutions for little children, who struggle to reach standard height handrails. It’s just another way in which we’re going further to keep everyone safer.

OUR STORY

Our founder and CEO, Lee Badenhorst, started out in the trade in 1991, eventually establishing Steel Image in 2004.  Upon realising that even professionals lacked a real understanding of the engineering behind barrier systems, he established boom. in 2018 to ensure better, safer balustrading and handrails for everyone.
