Mark Basic

Mark Basic has extensive experience in plant management within the malt production industry, currently serving as Plant Manager for Boortmalt in Sydney since November 2019. Previously, Mark held several significant roles, including Plant Manager for Cargill, overseeing the Sydney and Tamworth plants with a total malt production of 150,000mt, and managed the ultra-modern Sydney Plant, which has an annual capacity of 110,000 tonnes. Mark's earlier experience includes serving as Plant Manager for the Adelaide Group at Joe White Maltings, managing two plants with a total production capacity of 176,000 tonnes, and as Plant Manager at Viterra's Port Adelaide, where production reached 80,000 tonnes annually. Educational qualifications include a BAgrSc(Hons) from the University of Adelaide and a degree from the University of Zagreb.
