Wei Ping Ong

Wei Ping Ong has a wide range of work experience, beginning in 2008 with eGenting as a Senior IT Executive. In this role, they were responsible for administrating casino applications and servers, and performing capacity planning, system hardening, and server preventive maintenance. From 2014 to 2018, they worked at AirAsia as a Software Engineer and System Engineer Team Lead, where they were responsible for administration on Google Cloud Infra, maintaining access and roles for developers, and other tasks. In 2020, they joined DeepX Technology Sdn Bhd as a Senior Devops Engineer, where they maintained infrastructure hosted in Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services. Currently, they are the Cloud Engineering Lead for Boost Connect.

Wei Ping Ong obtained a Bachelor's degree of Computer Science in Intermedia/Multimedia from Universiti Sains Malaysia between the years of 2005 and 2008. In October 2019, Ong gained a Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation certification from Red Hat. Later in December 2019, Ong earned a Professional Cloud Architect certification from Google.
