Hernan Rey

Hernan Rey has over 20 years of experience in the software industry. Hernan currently serves as the QA Architect/Lead at BoostUp.ai since November 2020. Prior to that, they worked at McAfee as a QA Architect from April 2017 to October 2020. From June 2011 to April 2017, they worked at Intel in the role of QA Architect. Before that, they served as a QA Lead at Wicom from February 2007 to June 2011. Hernan began their career as a Sr Software Engineer - QA Engineer at Motorola from September 2004 to February 2007. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at VOIP Group Inc. from June 2002 to August 2004, and at Vates S.A. from January 1999 to June 2002.

Hernan Rey completed their education in a chronological manner. Hernan started their education in 1995 at the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional and pursued a degree in Software Engineering, which they obtained in 2002. In the same year, they also completed a postgraduate course in Project Management from the Universidad de Belgrano.

In addition to their formal education, Hernan obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2003, they became a Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform 1.4, certified by Sun Microsystems. Hernan also received a certification from Microsoft in June 2003, specifically for the MCSD - Exam 70-176, which focused on Designing and Implementing Desktop Applications with Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0.

More recently, in August 2020, Hernan obtained two certifications related to Python. Hernan completed the "Python for Data Visualization" course offered by LinkedIn and also acquired the "Python: Design Patterns" certification from the same institution.
