Elena Welsh

Elena Welsh has vast experience in commercial management and leadership roles. Elena'smost recent position was as Commercial Director at Booth Welsh, where they led and drove the in-house commercial team. Prior to that, they worked at Transport Scotland as a Contract and Commercial Manager for the Edinburgh Glasgow Improvement Programme. Elena also held the role of JV Commercial Manager at First Engineering Operations, where they managed a project team and enhanced communication with clients. Elena established a new work stream, Key Account Management, as a Commercial Analyst at First Engineering Corporate. Elena has also served as a Commercial Manager at Babcock Rail and First Engineering, where they were responsible for post-contract activities and managed a team of surveyors. Earlier in their career, they worked in various commercial and managerial roles at Network Rail, overseeing contracts related to track renewals and major structures. Elena's career began as a Bank Officer at the Bank of Scotland.

Elena Welsh attended Ardrossan Academy from 1982 to 1988, with a focus on grades in English, Mathematics, Physics, Geography, and Chemistry. Elena later pursued a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Quantity Surveying at Glasgow Caledonian University.
