Patrick Lemaire

Patrick Lemaire was at the head of Boralex as Chief Executive Officer from September 2006 to November 2020, a period during which the company was rapidly growing.

After graduating in 1988 in Mechanical Engineering from Université Laval in Québec City, Mr. Lemaire officially began his professional career at Cascades, where he successively held positions as Project Manager, Maintenance Manager and Cascades’ Plant Manager in France and the United States. He then applied his management and leadership skills to his roles as General Manager of five Norampac plants and, most notably, as Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of this company.

During his mandate at Boralex, Mr. Lemaire and his team have transformed the company in order to position it as a renewable energy leader in Canada and France.

For more than 25 years, Patrick promoted important values such as respect, entrepreneurship, creativity, team spirit and communication – values that define his management style.
