Jennifer Rust

Jennifer Rust is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of innovation and project management, particularly in energy and high-pressure polyethylene applications. Currently serving as the Head of the Competence Centre for Energy & HPPE Applications at Borealis since May 2007, Jennifer drives the development of a competence-based organization while leading teams and ensuring adherence to operational, health, safety, and legal standards. Past roles at Borealis include Senior Manager of Innovation Project Managers and Lead Project Manager, where responsibilities encompassed managing complex projects and supporting team development across European locations. Jennifer's earlier career includes positions as a research scientist at Alpharma AS and a graduate research chemist at Wake Forest University, culminating in a PhD in Chemistry. Additionally, Jennifer contributed to the American Women’s Club of Gothenburg as the Welcome & Membership Chair, actively engaging with new members. Educational achievements feature a BS in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a PhD in Chemistry from Wake Forest University.
