Johan Looffen

Johan Looffen possesses extensive experience in welding engineering and quality assurance, currently serving as the Inspection Manager for QA/QC and welding engineering at Borealis for the New European PDH project since December 2018. With a background that includes roles such as Zaakvoerder/Welding Engineering Consultant at Jes Consultancy bv and QA/QC Engineer at ATPC, Johan has managed significant projects involving LPG storage tanks and complex pipeline construction. Previous positions include Welding Engineer at PPS Pipeline Systems GmbH, Weld Inspector at Danieli Corus, and leadership roles at Fluxys, where responsibilities encompassed quality assurance, safety, and resource planning in high-pressure gas networks. Johan's educational qualifications include an MSc in European/International Welding Engineering from KU Leuven and certifications as an International Welding Inspector.
