Luis Simoes is an experienced construction and project manager with a career spanning over a decade in the engineering and construction industry. Currently serving as Construction Manager at Borealis since June 2022, Simoes has led significant projects, including the revamp of four cracker furnaces at the Borealis Stenungsund Plant, with an investment value of 160 million EUR. Previous roles include Project Manager at Rejlers and Neste, where Simoes also managed equivalent revamps at Borealis. Additional experience includes project management for major cryogenic tank constructions in the UK and France, along with leadership positions in equipment management and maintenance in Cape Verde.
