Pascal Castro

Pascal Castro has extensive experience in catalyst research and development, currently serving as a Senior Group Expert and Competence Manager for PO Catalysts at Borealis since June 2008. Responsibilities include the design and development of homogeneous and supported catalysts for polyolefin processes, along with catalyst synthesis, characterization, and scale-up. Previous roles at Borealis include Manager of Polypropylene Catalyst Research, Project Manager, and Task Leader, focusing on supported catalyst technologies and university collaborations. Prior to Borealis, Pascal worked as a Post-doctoral fellow at ICIQ and Université de Rennes 1, contributing to supramolecular catalyst development and organometallic complexes for polymerization. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Helsinki and a MSc in Organic & Organometallic Chemistry from Université de Bordeaux.
