Simon Gastl

Simon Gastl is an accomplished professional in the field of digital innovation and modeling, currently serving as a Digital Innovation Senior Scientist and previously as Modelling & Simulation Lead Scientist and Engineer at Borealis since January 2012. With a focus on advanced characterization and modeling of polymer composites, Simon has specialized in simulating the micromechanical behavior of polymers. Prior to this role, Simon worked as a Junior Researcher at the Polymer Competence Center Leoben GmbH from August 2007 to December 2011, where responsibilities included the characterization and simulation of the micromechanical behavior of particle-filled polypropylene using DIGIMAT and developing an ABAQUS user material.
