Stephan Roest has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. Stephan has held various roles, starting in 2004 as a co-founder and entrepreneur of a bathroom design brand called 20h30. From there, they worked as a university researcher and quarter master in China, establishing a new MSc exchange program.

Stephan Roest obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht in 2003. Stephan then pursued a Master of Science in Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis and Management from Delft University of Technology from 2003 to 2006. In 2012, Stephan completed an Executive MBA in General Management from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Stephan also participated in MBA Residential Programs in 2012 at GIBS Business School and in 2013 at CUHK Business School. In 2018, Stephan attended the Strategic Partnerships program at IMD and the Corporate Governance program at Blikverruimers.
