Wim Roels

Wim Roels has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Wim started their career at Borealis Bamble As in 1994, where they served as the skill centre manager moulding until 1997. From 1997 to 2000, they worked as the R&D centre manager at Borealis Polymers Oy in Finland. Later, they joined Borealis Polymers NV in 2000 and held the position of general manager until 2003. Wim then transitioned to Borealis and took on various leadership roles, including VP Innovation Technology from 2003 to 2008, VP Business unit moulding from 2008 to 2010, Senior Vice President BU F&F from 2010 to 2011, and Vice President Moulding from 2008 to the present. Roels also served as the CEO of Borouge Pte from 2011 to 2022. Currently, they are a Business Consultant at WRO, starting in 2022.

Wim Roels obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering from KIHO between 1979 and 1983, specializing in Chemistry.
