Wouter Verhoeven

Wouter Verhoeven is a seasoned lean expert at Borealis since October 2011, where responsibilities include implementing lean methodologies across various European departments and facilitating cross-learning through best practice exchanges. Prior roles at Borealis involved project engineering in logistics, managing projects focused on packaging lines and equipment improvements, as well as continuous improvement and Six Sigma initiatives. Additionally, Wouter served as a production specialist, focusing on enhancing production activities to meet safety, environmental, productivity, quality, and planning objectives. Outside of Borealis, Wouter contributed to youth development as an instructor and head animator with Scouts en Gidsen Vlaanderen from April 2012 to September 2022. Earlier experience includes serving as a service engineer at SHIMADZU CORPORATION and leading scouts in Duffel. Educational qualifications encompass a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from KU Leuven and certifications in Lean Six Sigma, including a Black Belt.
