Borg is a legal and policy-oriented, non-partisan think tank committed to advancing evidence-based solutions to contemporary social, economic, and governance challenges.

Our mission is anchored on three core pillars:

1. Informing Decision-Making
We support better policy outcomes in Nigeria and across Africa by providing rigorous, research-driven insights to governments, private sector actors, community-based organisations, and the wider public. Our goal is to strengthen institutional capacity and promote informed, strategic decision-making.

2. Building a Knowledge-Based Society
We foster meaningful dialogue among researchers, policymakers, communities, and advocates, creating space for diverse, well-informed perspectives on how to address today’s most pressing policy challenges.

3. Amplifying Lived Experience
We mobilise expertise and ideas by elevating the voices of individuals and communities most affected by laws and policies. We intentionally incorporate their experiences into how we design, conduct, and interpret our research.
