Andreas Apelsmeier is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the automotive and electronics industries. Currently serving as the Engineering Group Manager for eHardware at BorgWarner Inc. since May 2021, Andreas holds expertise in high-voltage converters for electric drives. Previously, a leadership role in systems design and functional safety was undertaken at hofer powertrain from May 2020 to April 2021. Andreas's career at AUDI AG from November 2010 to April 2020 focused on the development of power electronics for electric and hybrid vehicles, including hardware development for series products and the advancement of traction inverters and charging technology. Earlier experience includes development of hybrid vehicle systems at H-Systeme GmbH and research on fiber-optic sensors at Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg.
