Bertrand Ansel

Bertrand Ansel has extensive experience in functional safety and project management within the automotive industry. Currently serving as a Functional Safety Assessor at BorgWarner since October 2020, responsibilities include conducting independent Confirmation Measures on PDS projects up to ASIL D per ISO26262 standards, particularly involving eMotor Controllers, Inverters, Battery Management Systems, and Engine & Transmission Controllers. Prior experience at Delphi Technologies from 2002 to 2020 encompassed roles such as Functional Safety Engineer, where Bertrand facilitated customer interfaces for safety documentation, planned safety activities, and led safety analyses, alongside positions as Diesel Quality Improvement Leader, and CR Project Manager for various technical accounts. Bertrand began the career as an Ingenieur Etudes at SEGIME, developing and integrating VVT systems for Renault. Educational background includes a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole Supérieure des Techniques Aéronautiques et de Construction Automobile.
