Eric Gottschling

Eric Gottschling is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in licensing and commercialization of intellectual property. Currently serving as the Global Director for Licensing Commercialization at BorgWarner Inc. since October 2020, Eric oversees tech transfer and monetization efforts. Prior to this role, Eric held the same title at Delphi Technologies, where responsibilities included managing a global licensing team, negotiating deals up to $12 million, and achieving a 20% increase in licensing revenue for three consecutive years. Eric's career began at Delphi, where various roles encompassed licensing management, patent evaluations, and program management for North American and European reception systems. Academically, Eric holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Michigan, and an Associate’s degree from Macomb Community College.
