Mark Antonie

Mark Antonie FCMA CGMA is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in management roles within the manufacturing and pulp industries. Currently serving as Finance Manager at Borregaard since September 2020, Mark oversees lignosulphonate sales, distribution, and chemical toll manufacture. Previously, Mark held the position of General Manager at LignoTech South Africa from April 2004 to June 2019, after serving as Financial and Administration Manager in the same joint venture. Mark’s earlier career at Sappi spanned from April 1989 to March 2004, culminating as Financial Manager at Usutu Pulp (Pty) Ltd, while also gaining experience as a Cost and Management Accountant within Sappi Fine Papers. Mark's educational background includes a Master of Science in Systems Thinking in Practice and a Senior Management Development Programme from Stellenbosch University, complemented by qualifications in finance and corporate governance from CIMA and The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland.
