Thiago Goncales has worked in various engineering and software engineering roles since 2012. Thiago began their career as a Software Engineer Internship at Google in 2012, where they designed a new tool to assess memory inside ChromeOS. In 2013, they worked as a Software Engineer Internship at Altera, where they were responsible for improving the timing models building infrastructure and internal tools development. Thiago then returned to Google for another Software Engineer Internship in 2013, where they designed a new mechanism to enable faster ChromeOS installation.
In 2015, Thiago Goncales joined Top Hat as a Full Stack Developer Team Lead, where they were responsible for starting the Content initiative, leading a team of 3-7 developers, and overseeing team splitting to reduce scrum team size. In 2018, they became the Director of Engineering at BenchSci, where they led the growth of the Reagent Platform team from 6 Full Stack developers to 16 Full Stack developers and 1 Engineering Manager. In 2020, they became an Engineering Manager at an Airline Software Company, where they managed 8 developers spread across 2 cross-functional teams. Thiago is currently a Senior Engineering Manager at Borrowell.
Thiago Goncales graduated from the University of Toronto in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Science majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
