Dr. Christopher Hertlein is currently the Vice President and Section Head for IP/Patents in Vehicle Motion at Robert Bosch GmbH, a position held since 2024. They have been a Patent Referent, Patent Assessor, and European Patent Attorney at Bosch since 2009. Dr. Hertlein completed postdoctoral research at the University of Stuttgart from 2008 to 2009 and earned a Dr. rer. nat in Physics from the same institution in 2008. They also hold an Erasmus exchange degree in Physics from Imperial College London and a Diplom in Physics from Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau, completed in 2005. Additionally, Dr. Hertlein pursued studies in Patent Law at Fernuniversität Hagen from 2014 to 2016.
