Heiner Markert

Heiner Markert is a seasoned technology and engineering professional with extensive experience in the automotive and AI sectors. Currently serving as Director of Technology Engineering at Bosch since July 2025, Markert is responsible for driving virtualization initiatives. Previously, Markert held various leadership roles at ETAS from April 2020 to June 2025, including Head of Customer Engineering and Head of Product Field Test, overseeing global projects in software development and testing solutions. Prior to that, Markert was a Senior Project Manager and Group Manager at Bosch, where significant contributions to AI research and software testing in cloud services were made. Markert's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Neural Information Processing from Ulm University and a Diplom in Mathematics from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg.
