John Rule

John Rule is a highly experienced consulting engineer with a focus on systems and controls at Bose Corporation since December 2013, where innovative contributions to active noise reduction systems have been key to the development of industry-leading noise-canceling headphones. Prior to Bose, John held roles including Director of Fuel Cell Development at Lilliputian Systems, where leadership was provided to a Ph.D. team, and Section Lead at BAE Systems, overseeing projects in dynamics and control as well as multi-intelligence data fusion. John's engineering expertise began with a position as Senior Engineer at Cymer, where a control system for the next generation Excimer laser was developed. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in rotorcraft structural dynamics and aero-acoustics, a Master's degree, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, all from Duke University.
