John Tyra

John Tyra has extensive experience in product safety management, currently serving as the Manager for Product Safety at Bose Corporation since May 2000, where responsibilities include overseeing a team of 11 engineers and ensuring compliance with international safety regulations. Prior to this role, John held the position of Manager for the Eastern Region Product Safety at TUV Rheinland of N.A., managing safety and EMC engineers across four offices and overseeing budgeting and profit and loss. Additionally, John has a background as a Product Safety Engineer and Manager, where duties included managing teams, approving safety reports, and providing technical support for certifications. Earlier experience includes working as an Electrical Engineer at Electronic Design Lab, focusing on digital circuit design and hardware repair. John holds a BSCE in Computer Engineering from the University of Bridgeport and an AAS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SUNY Westchester Community College.
