Owen Ackerman

Researcher at Bose

Owen Ackerman is a researcher at Bose Corporation since September 2024, leading a team on a senior thesis focused on VR psychoacoustics and dynamic audio mapping. Previously, Ackerman worked as an acoustic research co-op at Bose Corporation from January 2024 to June 2024, where an acoustic localization algorithm for next-generation loudspeakers was developed. As the lead engineer at Peloton Medical Devices from September 2020 to January 2024, Ackerman oversaw the full product development of a medical safety device for hemodialysis patients. Additional experience includes a research and development internship at IMADE3D, where software and hardware projects were pursued, and as a founding member of huddle, a startup aimed at enhancing job hiring processes. Ackerman is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Tufts University, expected in 2025, after earning a high school diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Avenues The World School in 2020.
