Chris Bentzel is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and product development. Currently serving as the Head of Atlas Software at Boston Dynamics since August 2018, Chris has been instrumental in advancing humanoid robotics. Previously, Chris held roles such as Program Lead, where two unreleased products were brought from initial concept to business concept, and Director of Engineering, leading the Production Software Team for the Spot Robot. Prior to Boston Dynamics, Chris worked at Google for over a decade, progressing from Software Engineer to Engineering Director for Chrome, where initiatives on web ads and internet protocol improvements were spearheaded. Chris also contributed to YouTube's CDN and the Google Talk infrastructure earlier in the career at Google. Chris began the professional journey as an Engineer at Sucker Punch, developing the Sly Cooper video game series, and started at 3DO. Chris holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
