James Simard

James Simard is currently a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer at Boston Dynamics, a position held since June 2022. Prior to this, James served as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer and Electrical Design Engineer at Vicarious Surgical Inc. from May 2019 to May 2022. James began a career in engineering at Superpedestrian in January 2013 as the first employee, where the first prototype was constructed and demonstrated to venture capitalists. Additionally, experience includes working as an Electrical Technician at MIT on the Copenhagen Wheel Project, a Lab Technician at The University of British Columbia, and an Electrical Engineer for the eatART Foundation, contributing to innovative projects in each role. James holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Physics from The University of British Columbia, completed in 2014.
