Jonas Gerstner

Jonas Gerstner is a Staff Field Application Engineer at Boston Dynamics since August 2023, following a role as Software Engineer at robominds GmbH from November 2020 to July 2023, where responsibilities included implementing backend features and automating system image creation for the robobrain vision system. Prior experience includes an internship at BMW Group focusing on Project Innovation and Industry 4.0, where Jonas developed a camera-based smart picking robot, and working as a student at Fortiss on Robot Operating System (ROS) applications. Jonas holds a Master of Science in Robotics, Cognition, Intelligence from the Technical University of Munich and completed a bachelor's degree in Engineering Science from the same institution. Additional academic experience includes a period as an exchange student at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 2018.
