Ignacio Chi

Ignacio Chi is a battery engineer at Boston Scientific, where they conduct R&D on lithium primary and secondary batteries for implantable medical devices. Prior to this role, Ignacio served as a Principal Scientist at Boston Scientific from 2002 to 2008, and as a Principal Scientist at Duracell from 1990 to 2002, specializing in lithium ion and lithium primary batteries. Ignacio also worked as a Member of Technical Staff at ATT Bell Labs from 1982 to 1990, focusing on rechargeable lithium batteries. They earned a Master’s degree in Chemical Metallurgy from Columbia University in the City of New York between 1976 and 1982.
