Declan Young

Declan Young is currently a junior at Boston University, majoring in computer science with a minor in data science. They have held several internships, including Software Engineer Intern I at Chewy, where they enhanced customer satisfaction and integrated APIs, and a student intern role at the Laboratory for AI-Powered Financial Technologies Limited, where they improved web-scraping efficiency. As Co-Head of Tech at BostonHacks, Declan has developed and styled ReactJS components and created a Discord bot to enhance hackathon activities. Declan previously completed an internship at PressLogic, conducting competitive research and advertising, and also interned at Manulife, performing various administrative tasks. Prior to university, Declan earned an International Baccalaureate diploma from the Canadian International School of Hong Kong, achieving a score of 42/45.
