Barbara Halpin

Barbara Halpin has extensive experience in communications and community engagement, currently serving as the Special Projects & Community Engagement and Public Information Officer for Boulder County since December 2005. In this role, Barbara acts as the official spokesperson and leads strategic communications, media relations, and constituent services for the Board of Boulder County Commissioners. Previously, Barbara held positions as the Education and Outreach Coordinator at Eco-Cycle, Director of Communications for Customer Outreach at the American Chemistry Council, Manager of Communications and Environmental Affairs at the American Beverage Association, and Account Executive at Gannett. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science - Public Service from the University of California, Davis, and graduate studies in Public Administration at Virginia Tech.
