Ron Flax has extensive experience in the fields of community planning, building regulation, and sustainable design. Currently serving as the Deputy Director of Community Planning & Permitting and Chief Building Official for Boulder County, Ron also holds a position on the Executive Committee of the State of Colorado Energy Code Board. Previously, Ron contributed as an Indoor Air Quality Advisor for Boulder Valley School District and served on the Board of Directors for both Resource Central and the Colorado Green Building Guild. Educational credentials include a Master of Architecture from the University of Colorado Denver and additional degrees in liberal studies and psychology/sociology. Through various roles in architecture, project management, and consulting, Ron Flax has been a dedicated advocate for green building and sustainable practices within the community.
