John English

John works across the company to coordinate BES staff, clients, and other collaborators. Since co-founding BES John as worked on over 200 projects ranging from aircraft navigation to smart pills to art robots. On a day to day basis John works closely with the electrical and software teams to support embedded systems R&D. On a day to day basis John works closely with the electrical and software teams to support embedded systems R&D. This often includes digital logic, analog circuitry, RF communication, power electronics, and design for manufacturing. John also frequently meets with clients to learn about their projects and goals, formulate plans and consulting proposals, and manage projects through their life-cycles.

John worked for several local tech startup companies prior to co-founding BES. His pre-BES experience included electrical and mechanical development of a machine vision-based sensor for drinking water treatment plants, and control and data acquisition systems development for steam microturbines.

In free time John enjoys hobby electronics and machine learning art projects, creative writing, and game modding. Biking, running, climbing, yoga, and dance are John's favorite exercise activities.
