Michael Edirmannasinghe began their work experience in 2017 as a Summer Housing Assistant at Northern Arizona University - Housing and Residence Life. Michael continued in this role the following year as well. In 2017, they also worked as an International Pavilion Facility Worker at the Center for International Education - Northern Arizona University, focusing on providing customer service for clients hosting events. Michael then moved on to various roles at Northern Arizona University, including Desk Manager and Student Mechanic, where they gained experience in mechanical engineering repairs and maintenance on university vehicles. In 2021, Michael worked as a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern at Mack Automation, specializing in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder designs and developing a PLC programmed testing system. Michael later joined Mack Automation as a Mechanical Design Engineer in 2022. Currently, they are working as a Mechanical Engineer at Boulder Imaging since 2023.

Michael Edirmannasinghe completed their high school education at St. Peter's College from 2002 to 2015, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Michael then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Northern Arizona University from 2017 to 2020. Following this, they continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2020 to 2022.
