Clay Alvord

Clay Alvord is an experienced technology leader with a robust background in cloud service engineering and operations management. Currently serving as the Director of FinOps & Performance Engineering at Box since April 2015, Clay oversees key domains including capacity forecasting, cost optimization, and compliance. Previous roles include Senior Manager of Infrastructure Automation, where direct management of two teams was essential, and earlier positions encompassing various capacities in data center operations and systems administration at VMware, Apple, Oracle, InQuira, and PC Solutions. Clay's technical expertise and leadership span over two decades in diverse IT environments, emphasizing automation, infrastructure management, and performance enhancement. Educational qualifications were completed at Evergreen Valley College from 2002 to 2008.
