Dan Schmidt

Dan Schmidt is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in incident response and security operations. They served as a Cryptologic Technician in the US Navy, where they created a Cybersecurity Incident Response Team and significantly improved security measures. Following their military service, Dan worked in various roles, including Senior Network Administrator at Ingram Independent School District and Senior Security Analyst at the Texas Department of Public Safety. Currently, Dan is the Director of Global Incident Response at Box, leading a global 24/7 Security Incident Response Team, while previously serving as a Senior Manager in the same organization. Dan holds a Master's degree in Cybersecurity from Excelsior College and a Bachelor's degree in History from The University of Texas at Austin.
