John Huffaker is a seasoned software architect and engineer with extensive experience in software development and architecture. Since September 2012, Huffaker has served as Chief Architect and Distinguished Software Engineer at Box, where responsibilities include driving technical design, product guidance, and crisis management for the Core Content Platform. Prior to Box, Huffaker held various technical leadership roles at Oracle and Endeca Technologies, focusing on Business Intelligence and e-commerce solutions, as well as developing core datastore functionalities. Earlier career experiences include positions at Nevo Technologies, Eliza Technologies, LandAmerica Financial Group, and a brief internship at Microsoft. Huffaker holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from UC Irvine, obtained in 2005 and 2002, respectively.
