Jon Rooney

Jon Rooney is an experienced marketing professional currently serving as the Vice President of Product Marketing at Box since August 2025. Additionally, Jon holds the position of Product Marketing Mentor at Sharebird, a platform that provides product marketers with insights and advice, since January 2021. Prior to these roles, Jon was the Vice President of Product Marketing at Unity from January 2023 to August 2025 and served as Group Vice President of Industry Marketing at Oracle from April 2021 to October 2022. Jon's experience also includes a tenure as SVP of Product & Solutions Marketing at New Relic, Inc. from September 2019 to February 2021, where efforts focused on enhancing software observability for customers. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from the Texas McCombs School of Business.
