Zemaye J.

Zemaye J. is a dedicated youth leader currently involved with the Point Source Youth National Youth Empowerment and Mentorship Initiative, focusing on empowering QTBIPOC young leaders. In addition, Zemaye serves as a youth representative on the Box advisory council, advocating for products that support individuals within the child welfare system. Experience includes roles as an event producer for the Oakland Athletics, a youth voice intern at Fostering Media Connections, and marketing and communications intern at KQED. Previously, Zemaye held leadership positions, including building supervisor at Campus Recreation at San Francisco State University and vice president of social justice and equity for Associated Students, where responsibilities included coordinating events and advocating for student resources. Zemaye holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Africana Studies from San Francisco State University.
