Tyler Rau

Tyler Rau has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Senior Software Engineer at Boxbot since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at SoundHound as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer II from August 2019 to January 2023. Tyler'sresponsibilities included supporting the pipeline between NonEnglish language work and SoundHound's codebase, gaining experience with C++, LUA, and Python. Tyler also helped build the groundwork for NonEnglish languages in SoundHound's C++ codebase by communicating with language experts and integrating code created in collaboration with them.

Before joining SoundHound, Tyler gained experience as a CSCNSI Intern at Los Alamos National Laboratory in June 2017. Tyler also served as a ServiceNow Developer Intern at Aeritae Consulting Group from June 2015 to May 2017, where they maintained and created various end user functionality for modules in ServiceNow. Additionally, they worked as a Computer Science Tutor at Dakota State University from January 2015 to May 2017, where they assisted students with questions related to Computer Science and Mathematics classes and motivated them to succeed.

Tyler Rau earned their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Dakota State University from 2014 to 2017. In addition, they also studied Korean Language and Culture at Anyang University from 2015 to 2016. Prior to their time at Dakota State University, Tyler pursued Management Information Systems at Northern State University from 2012 to 2014.
